Sewing is kinda fun!

Well I finally broke out that sewing machine that I bought last March.  I decided to start T's quilt today while she was out visiting friends.  Last night I cut up all the pieces... or at least the first batch, and set up the sewing machine to start sewing.  That was when I realized that I only had blue and white thread, and T's quilt is going to be red and black (an homage to the Bulldogs... don't even ask...).  That led to a trip to the fabric store... which led to finding some exciting new fabric!  I can see now that I am going to be a fabric junkie!  I got some fabric for some quilts that I am going to try and make my nieces and nephew.  The stuff I got for Judah's is especially cute I think... course I'm partial!  Anyways... back to my quilt.  I have been sewing now for about 3.5 hrs and I have done about 10 9-patch blocks!  Sooo much faster than hand piecing.

I will put up a picture of this quilt as soon as I can.  I am thinking it won't be till thursday or friday though cause I work Monday through Wednesday.  I am thinking I will call it ... hmm... actually I can't think of a name so far.  Perhaps "Georgia"... or "Bulldog".  I will think about that this week and come up with one before next weekend.

Anyways... back to the sewing machine!!
